A girlfriend and I invented the sugar daddy game in our first year of university. We were the most attractive girls in our class but had no interest in the boys that were our age. They seemed so immature and when I did go on a date with one boy in my class, he expected us to split the bill. I understand that we were students, but I have been brought up with the traditional view that men should be gentlemen – and that definitely means paying the entire bill on the first date! My friend and I also both had expensive taste that meant our student loans disappeared very quickly. During one particularly boring lecture, and after reading about sugar daddies in a magazine, we invented a game where we had to find the perfect sugar daddy. Once we found the right candidate, the next step would be to make fantasy reality.
